window views of perfection

she once told her,
live. taste a million things
because no matter what
you do, anything can happen.

now she lives, but not
alongside her, not
the way she imagined it all.

she wonders if living has
a meaning;
why her living is full of
epiphanies and not mistakes.

and trains might never
arrive, but
if they do, she'll never miss them.

in the wake of light, your words bring me more(please, do leave your fingerprints behind, so I may relish the image of our hands after you go.)
